Altoona Bible Church Senior Pastor   Pastor Stewart W. McClelland

Pastor Stewart W. McClelland has been ministering the Grace gospel for over a quarter century.  He received his BA degree in Pastoral Training with Greek Emphasis in 1978 from Moody Bible Institute.  After pastoring for over 20 years at Grace Bible Church in Beloit, WI and Liberty Bible Church of Bedford, PA, Pastor Stewart McClelland has joined the Altoona Bible Church as its Senior Pastor.

Pastor Stewart and his wife Nancy both committed their lives as young adults to serving the Lord while attending the Altoona Bible Church. Pastor Stewart moved to Blair County his senior year in High School. He was saved that same year at Altoona Bible Church and committed his life to serving the Lord. Nancy grew up at Altoona Bible Church from the time she was born and committed her life to full time Christian Service in her senior high school years. They both attended Moody Bible Institute to complete their college training. 

Pastor Stewart and Nancy have two children.  Their eldest son is Bart, who is married to Alissa and they reside in Pittsburgh. 
Bart and Alissa have a son named Camden.  Pastor Stewart and Nancy's youngest son is Josh, who is married to Stephanie. They reside in Altoona.

Pastor Stewart as senior pastor leads a varied, growing and exciting ministry at the Altoona Bible Church. Along with worship services with stirring music and message’s from God’s Word each Sunday at 10:45 AM and 6:45 PM, there is Sunday School for children and adults at 9:30 AM and a Wednesday Evening prayer and Bible study service at 7:00 PM.  The morning service can be seen on cable local access in Altoona (Ch 14 Sunday, 9:00 AM) , Johnstown (Ch 9  Sunday, Noon) and New Enterprise ( Ch  Tuesday ).  For over 50 years Altoona Bible Church has been on television and the radio.  The AM Service can be heard live on WVAM 1240, and rebroadcast at Noon on WJSM 92.7.  “Joy in the Morning,” a wake up, get ready for church program each Sunday can be heard at 8:30 AM on WRTA. Pastor Stewart also teaches in our Grace Bible Institute held Tuesday’s from 7:00 to 9:15 PM at the Church.

Altoona Bible Church places great emphasis on children.  Active and exciting youth programs including Monday night clubs, youth groups, junior church, UBU teenage groups, youth retreats, vacation Bible school, Grace Kid’s Camp, a staffed Nursery and Pre-School provide incredible opportunities for nurturing children in God’s word and love.
